Absolutely yes. But to be clear, that 'point of consciousness,' as I see it, is not a gift or any kind of biological or genetic advancement or anomaly that sets humans apart. Not at all. Its a difference in understanding. A way of thinking. A subtle difference in response, perhaps, to sensory and/or emotional input.
Forgive me if I'm rambling! But it's a key point to my thoughts in that 1) we are not so very different from 'the animals'! And, 2) it explains 'the hard problem of consciousness,' as the philosophers term it. Not that they want to hear from little ol' me about it! lol.
PS, maybe a silly question, but, how is your name pronounced? If you don't mind me asking! Just curious. (I'm reading it as Ah'-knee Va'-drene. Close?)
