But, my friend, if I follow you because you’ve followed me, quid pro quo, aren’t I in effect buying into your transactional view of the world, thus conceding my own point! Lol!

Is ‘heads’ separate from the coin? Only in abstraction. Is a smile separate from the face? Only in our thoughts.

My take is that as I do for others—and for myself—so I do for my world. This makes me very selfish indeed! Because like heads is inherent to the coin I see myself as inherent to my world. Separate only in abstract terms. But if heads makes himself shiny, but in the process corrodes the rest of the coin, has heads really done himself any favors?

Yes, there is a large transactional element to our world, but that no more makes all the world transactional than the sky being blue makes all the world blue.

My take!

I will follow you, not merely because you asked, but because as I view your feed you seem to have solid content, and seem honest and forthright in your writing and opinions. Both are beneficial to our wider world. I hope you see the same qualities in me. Take good care!
