Exactly right!

Of the people, by the people, for the people. ALL the people.

Citizens with an agenda, whatever the agenda, anti-vax, anti-war, pro-environment, pro-socialized medicine, whatever it is…they ALL have the idea that democracy is about them. And when things don’t go their way with shrill voices they exclaim how democracy isn’t working, how the politicians don’t listen, how the courts are corrupt, how the world is falling apart. Oh, woe is me!

Whine, whine, whine. Like babies.

Freedom, liberty, democracy, it’s not my freedom, my liberty, my democracy. It’s OUR freedom. OUR democracy. ALL OF US. Those truckers? They’re whining. Oh, woe is me!

I was a trucker for 15 years. What would I say to those truckers?

Deal with it, road dogs. And when the time comes, get up off your fat asses and VOTE. That’s democracy.

And this whining I hear about the 'elites'? The only actual elected officials I see clamoring for election reform are the Ds. And that election reform bill of theirs, blocked by the Rs (and 2 dems) in the Senate, made a very good start on getting money out of the election process, which is exactly what needs to happen if you want to reign in the power of the elites.

The Rs are all about blocking the Ds. The Ds are the only party right now working for real, structural reform. But we’re stuck with whiners who baby up because they aren’t getting their way and scream that ALL gov is broken and by god let's block the highways! 'Oh, woe is me…'

Give it a rest.

Thanks for the read! Learn something every day, even if I don’t want to hear it!
