I'm convinced we're in the midst of categorical human change. A change in humanity, in how we think and feel about ourselves and others.

Scientific advances, technological revolutions (reading this on your cell phone?). increasing standards of basic human rights. Greater acceptance of diversity. Rising expectations of sexual, racial, economic, political, equality.

And while it may not seem like it, existential political change. (I love this graph. It shows that democracies were rare as late as 1980, no longer!):
