In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being—John: 1-3
That’s not just religion, it’s philosophy. It’s an answer to the chicken and egg problem, which came first. Here it says one ‘thing’ can be another ‘thing,’ the Word was with God, and the Word was God, so, both came first!
And the ‘big bang’ theory says the same thing.
In the beginning was a Singularity of infinite denseness and heat. And the Singularity was with the Universe, and the Singularity was the Universe. And the Singularity with explosive force expanded, and all ‘things’ of the Universe came into being. Not even one thing that is now being, came into being apart from the Singularity.
The ‘singularity’ and ‘the universe’ can be thought of, philosophically, as the ‘same thing.’
Chicken and egg, which came first? Neither. They both ‘are’ the other. And If that’s not philosophy I don’t know what is.
Thanks for the read!
