It’s what forgiveness and faith are all about.

I’m not talking about god. I’m taking about humanity.

That broad brush of yours, if it is to be honest with itself, must paint a humanity in the midst of massive change.

The evidence is everywhere. Democracies were rare as late as 1980, no longer. Scientific advances. Technological revolutions. Increasing standards of basic human rights. Greater acceptance of diversity. Rising expectations of sexual, racial, economic, political, equality.

You see people hating themselves. I see people struggling to keep up!

There is still a long, long way to go, but whether you think the change is too slow, too late, too soon, too fast, in the wrong direction or the right, however you see it, the change is happening.

Forgive the idiocy. Reinforce the faith. Change on this scale is a generational endeavor.
