Perhaps not there, but here in the US there is. A lot of self-reflection. Capitalism, especially, as an economic system has come under increasing scrutiny. It's long-term prospects don't look good from where I stand.

In the end it's not the economic system that counts. It's not the ruling party or people that counts. It's self-rule that counts.

As long as a viable system of rule of the people (all the people) stays intact then there is hope. Because the nature of the state will always follow the will of the people (all the people).

And that is why it is essential for faith in humanity to stay intact. Because without that faith there goes faith in rule of the people. And without rule of the people, then here come the autocrats and there goes freedom of the press and freedom of expression. So, keep the faith!
