Respectfully disagree, with nearly every word! (Respectfully!)

Every falling snowflake not only changes the world but is itself a product of a changing world. A changing universe.

That the change seems 'merely cyclical' or 'innocuous' is one of perspective, or, worse, hubris (if it is assumed the change is meaningless).

The arc of humanity tells us that change is not only possible but that it is happening. If it's not fast enough, that too is a matter of perspective!

Cakes take time to bake, and a watched pot never boils.

Except that it does.

We're in the midst of profound, boiling, bubbling, often bruising, change. It's happening everywhere, one 'snowflake' at a time. One example, as a kid in the 1960s to be gay meant to be happy and to be homosexual was to be vilified as a faggot. Gay marriage? Not even on the horizon!

And yet, here we are...

As far as the title question: keep your head above water, keep swimming, and no matter how far away you think you are from shore, don't give up. Never give up!

Thanks for the read!
