I would say, and I think you might agree, that all perception, all ‘feeling,’ all experience is NOW. The ‘patterns,’ as you term it, are NOW. The ‘process,’ as you put it, is NOW. NOW is not a ‘this’ or ‘that’ singular moment alone, but the continual awareness of ‘that’ moment becoming ‘this.’

Past and future, even time and space, are emergent constructs, a feature of the ‘pattern’ of NOW that understands that to be a ‘thing,’ that thing (in relative terms at least) cannot change—even though, contrarily, it is via energy transfer, and thus change, that we experience any’thing.’

So grandpa’s boat is still a ‘boat,’ even with a tree growing through the ‘hull.’
