The political world is not built of ‘liberals’ and ‘conservatives.’ It’s built of human beings.

Humans have a variety of viewpoints (as many viewpoints as there are humans, actually!). Splitting our nation along supposedly ideological lines such as liberal/conservative, right/left, or Republican/Democrat, and saying one side is right, while the other is wrong, is like treating a wound on your own body by holding it apart, rather than pulling it together. Denigrating either side is like throwing dirt in the open wound, rather than cleansing it.

We’re all citizens of this great nation together, aren’t we? Let's work to heal our wounds, not spit in them.
