Yup yup. Mediocrity. I mean, how much better would the world be if all those mediocre Mac computers weren't around. Or PCs. The internet. Or satellite systems. Cell phones. Smartphones. GPS systems. Google Earth. Real-time traffic. Weather apps. The list goes on and on. Airbags. All those mediocre safety items of cars that make it so mediocre drivers don't die in crashes! Electric cars with hundred mile and more range. Solar panels. Wind farms. Social media. Fission reactors. Couldn't happen without mediocrity. Bio-tech.

And you know what too, democracy.

How much more mediocre can you get, than rule by consensus! 49% of the world is now wallowing in the mediocracy of democracy. But 70 years ago, the world could boast that 84% of the population lived in countries ruled by good, old-fashioned, strong (arm) leadership, the real deal kind of leadership that says 'do what I tell you to do or suffer the consequences.'

Here's the graph to prove it:

Thanks for the read.

And sorry for the snark, but I truly believe that humans are human. We've been human for a long time. We grow up in the context of our world. If that context requires us to know how much space a bushel of wheat requires, then we will learn that. And if we need to know how to do a pivot table on an Excel spreadsheet, we will learn that too.
